Melodie

Melodie started dancing when she was 2 years old. She participated in her first Ballroom Event when she was 14 years old at the Rose Bowl Dance Festival. She has been dancing in the Ballroom, Rhythm and Swing categories ever since. She added the Country genre 30 years ago. She loves to teach and share her joy of dance. Her favorite dances are “all of them”, and her favorite-favorites are Swing, Cha-Cha and Salsa. She has been with Let's Dance Victoria from Day 1!

Brian & Melodie Janak

Brian was born and raised in Port Lavaca, although much of his childhood was spent on the family property close to Hallettsville. He started Janak Plumbing here in Victoria 30 years ago and is still going strong!

Melodie has been a business owner here in Victoria for over 25 years. She also owned a Ballroom Studio near Dallas which she sold a little over a year ago.

They have been dancing together for 15 years and have oodles of children and grandchildren!
